Alle vorhandenen Aufnahmen von Cecil Taylor für das legendäre Label Candid! Diese Aufnahmen, die 1960-61 vom legendären Jazzkritiker Nat Hentoff produziert wurden, sind aus der Geschichte des modernen Jazz nicht wegzudenken. Zu hören sind Archie Shepp, Clark Terry, Steve Lacy, Billy Higgins und der Bassist Buell Neidlinger, der bei der Hälfte dieser Sessions der ursprüngliche Leader war. Eine komplette Septett-Session von Cecil Taylor aus dem Jahr 1961, produziert von Creed Taylor, und die gesamte Quartetaufführung des Pianisten aus dem Jahr 1957 in Newport wurden als Bonus hinzugefügt.
